Drop Cloth for Windows
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for some new curtains and was happy to receive the Mercantile Drop Cloth Curtains complimentary through Influenster in exchange for my honest review. First off, these really do resemble a drop cloth you would use for painting, although they look a bit fancier once the light shines through them, but have no sheen to the fabric. These are only light filtering curtains, so they do not cancel out light and they would offer only a slight bit of privacy. For this reason, I opted to use it in a kitchen instead of a bathroom, as you can still see silhouettes with a light on. I enjoy the ease of hanging these if you already have a rod installed. The rings have plenty of space to glide around a curtain rod and the option to use the sewn pocket with the valence or without is great to switch up the look. The sewn pocket was roomy enough to get on the rod, but was slightly more difficult to move back and forth as it was more snug of a fit. I prefer this hung with the rings, but I wish the valence was slightly longer to give a more modern look. These seem to be well made, are stitched nicely and the fabric appears to be durable. These curtains were quite wrinkled when I received them, so I'm happy I can use an iron on them to get a neater finish. I'm pretty satisfied with these for a simple, more understated window treatment.
